Humana offers increasingly competitive compensation rates for Agents like you. We generally pay the maximum commission rates allowable by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). Since 2014, our initial commission rates have increased 21% for MAPD—from $425 in 2014 to $539 in 2021—and 30% for PDP—$56 in 2014 to $81 in 2021. These amounts are based on Fair Market Value requirements set by CMS.
Please note, compensation is an estimated calculation based on the Humana Producer Partnership plan. Commission information varies by type of plan and by state and may be modified or discontinued by Humana at any time. Commissions are only paid as long as the member remains enrolled in a plan, and as long as the Agent is under contract with Humana and properly licensed, certified and appointed as required under state law or CMS guidance.
Humana’s Reach Rewards program for Partner Agents makes your everyday more rewarding. This program helps you stay energized and engaged by rewarding you for the things you already do like close a sale, use Humana’s online enrollment tools and participate in a training event. You’ll earn credits you can spend on direct mail campaigns in Humana’s Marketing Resource Center. As your points accumulate, you’ll get closer to unlocking AHIP certification reimbursement, professional coaching sessions or Google My Business page set up and other support. For plan year 2021, Humana offers MA plans in 84% of counties nationally.1 In addition to our national plan footprint, Humana crafts MA plans to meet a wide variety of Medicare beneficiary needs and make it easy to connect them with care that fits their lifestyle and their budget.
For plan year 2021, 82% of Humana MA plans have unchanged or lowered premiums, 67% of plans have a $0 premium.3 Also, 89 Humana plans include a Part B giveback and 359 plans have a $0 primary care provider copayment.2 We aim to make premiums and copays affordable for our members so they can access the care they need and deserve.
Humana offers quality plans and exceptional customer service. Approximately 92% of Humana’s MA plans are rated 4 stars out of 5 stars and above for 2021.3 These rankings reflect our on-going commitment to quality care and improved health outcomes for our members.4
We recognize that no two people are the same. That’s why we’ve created plans to meet specific needs whether those needs are for Veterans, dual-eligible beneficiaries or Hispanic or Asian communities. For example, Humana’s Honor Plans may be a good fit for Veterans with VA benefits, though any eligible may enroll in an Honor Plan where available and Veterans may enroll in any eligible plan. Another example includes Humana’s Healthy Foods card, available on many but not all Humana Dual-Eligible Special Needs Plans (DSNPs). It provides eligible members with a monthly allowance to buy nutritious groceries at participating retailers.
Benefits like SilverSneakers®, Go365, Humana Behavioral Health, transportation to and from the doctor and home-based health care like virtual and in-home visits on some plans help members maintain health and wellness. (Benefits vary by plan and market.)

Humana’s plan networks include a variety of providers, including home-based providers to help members maintain their health at home. In-network, home-based providers help remove barriers to care for members and transform the healthcare system for better patient outcomes, often at lower costs. Home-based care not only provides a more comfortable and convenient option members’care, it also allows care providers to observe and evaluate environmental factors in members’ homes such as medication bottles, fall risks, allergens and food insecurity.4
In addition, Humana regularly teams up with community-based organizations like Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), American Veterans (AMVETS) and Disabled American Veterans (DAV) to support Veteran health and wellness through programs and sponsored events like Uniting to Combat Hunger, a campaign to raise awareness of and meals for Veterans experiencing food insecurity.
